Why is it, that we need a piece of paper to prove that another piece of paper is correct, which proves that we are who we say we are, which is validated by a plastic card issued to prove that another piece of paper is accurate and that an event really happened? Hm, what happened to people being good at their word?
In order to get a Work Visa for Italy you first need a Work Authorization (approved by Boeing or the US government -- not sure who). That means providing copies of valid passports for me and Johnnie, copy of diploma, copy of resume, and current photo (in case you can't recognize me from my passport photo or DL or Badge or.....)
Once you have Work Authorization then you need certified marriage license from the state/county where you were married and an Apostille (letter from the Secretary of State in the state where you were married) saying that the certified marriage license they are sending you is a real document, signed by a real person, and that Johnnie and I are real people and we are really married. Whew!
More to come when I figure out what is next.....
