Last Sunday I was at the hotel and took my computer into the lobby to get better wifi reception and ran into a good friend. Turns out she was going to do a Bible study and was waiting on a couple other people to arrive. So I joined them.
The hotel where we are staying was a manor house in the 1350's and then later a monastery, and one of our group saw the Basilica when she was on a tour of the resort the day before. So we made our way over and eventually found it. What a joyful couple of hours studying the Word of God with friends!

It seems this church is mostly used for weddings and special events now. There was no evidence of masses being held here. How sad that it has happened this way, what was once a place of people devoted to the service of God, now just a tourist spot.
